At Stokes & Kopitsky, P.A., we offer a no-charge, no-obligation consultation for injury, death, and worker's compensation claims. If you then choose to retain us, our contingency fee is based on a percentage of your award or settlement. "Contingent attorneys' fees" and "no fee if no recovery" refer only to fees charged by attorneys for their legal services. Contingent fees are not permitted in all types of cases (such as divorce or criminal cases), but they are permitted for injury cases.
By Georgia law, court costs, expert witness fees, and other additional expenses of legal action must be paid by the client or from amounts recovered for the client. To prevent hardship to our clients, we advance the amounts needed to pay these additional expenses for each case, and then reimburse ourselves from the amounts eventually recovered. You do not need any money to retain us for your injury claim.
